Course Map: Utah Valley Half Marathon

The route for the race takes runners on a long, mostly downhill point-to-point course that starts around the mid-way point of the full marathon, on Provo Canyon Road in the Uinta National Forest, near Vivian Park. From there, the race starts a nearly uninterrupted downhill descent for the next 13.1 miles along the same road from the start to the finish line, on Provo Canyon Road as it merges into University Avenue and finishes in front of the historic Provo Tabernacle and courthouse. Along the way, runners get to see some of Utah’s most spectacular natural beauty, including Mount Timpanogos, Cascade Mountain and Big Baldy off in the distance.

I believe the text is incorrect. It says the race ends at Provo Towne Center Mall. But the map shows that it ends on Center Street at the old County Courthouse. In previous years it has ended at the Courthouse.
