Runners follow an out-and-back loop route through the city at the Kansas City Half Marathon presented by Garmin, which starts and finishes next to 22nd Street and Grand Avenue, next to Washington Square Park. From there, you’ll encounter more than two dozen of this city’s famed fountains, and runners should expect an occasionally hilly and often challenging route through the city (which also starts runners off a stone’s throw from the world headquarters of Hallmark Cards).
Note: The course map above provides the approximate route for the race. Though every effort has been made to ensure its accuracy, changes are sometimes made to race routes due to weather conditions, road closures or other circumstances that can require a course to be changed.
