Runners start the Amish Country Half Marathon course just to the east of Berlin, a small township in eastern Ohio, and from there follow a counter-clockwise loop route through the villages of Berlin and Bunker Hill with plenty of gorgeous views of the rolling countryside all around. The course unfolds along two-lane country roads and features some challenging hills, especially in the first half of the race along 168 and again the final few miles of the race, along 366 between miles 11 and 13.
