Runners follow a loop course for the Ann Arbor Half Marathon, which starts along 5th Avenue near the “Big House,” as the University of Michigan football stadium is known to Wolverines fans. From there, the course takes runners first from the Michigan campus into downtown Ann Arbor, and long stretches along the roads and trails the parallel the Huron River, which runs through the city.
