Runners make their way along the flat, fast trails of San Leandro’s Quarry Lakes Recreation Area for the Bay Breeze Half Marathon course — just like the one used at the Western Pacific Half Marathon — which starts and finishes near the parking lot in the northeastern end of the park. From there, runners make their way around the edges of the lakes and out onto the Alameda Creek Trail, which they follow all the way to the turnaround point near San Leandro Boulevard.
