Runners follow an out-and-back course for the half marathon, which starts and finishes at Dawsonville’s Georgia Racing Hall of Fame on Highway 53. From there, the course takes runners out onto the roads and highways surrounding this small north Georgia city that lies about an hour’s drive north of Atlanta, along a number of hilly stretches and finishing with a stretch through the city’s downtown.
