The Bridge and Dam Half Marathon course takes runners from the Bagnell Dam overlooking the Osage River on an out-and-back route through the Lake of the Ozarks, a huge reservoir in central Missouri whose twisting, snake-like shape inspired the nickname “the Magic Dragon.” From the dam, runners head across two bridges on the way out, along Bagnell Dam Boulevard and route MM, and then return back across those same two bridges again on the way back to the finish line at the dam.
