Set at an elevation of about 4,000 feet above sea level in the red rock canyons area just outside Moab, Utah, the Canyonlands Half Marathon is run on a USATF-certified course that offers a challenging mix of rolling hills and fast descents. Beginning approximately 11 miles up Highway 128 outside of Moab, most of the race route follows the paved highway road as it winds through the beautiful red rock canyons carved by the Colorado River, before turning south to head into Moab.
