Runners start the out-and-back course for the half marathon at the Leading Creek Fire Department, just off Triplet Road and Seneca Trail. From there, the race heads north along the Allegheny Highlands Trail, a crushed stone surface trail built on the old West Virginia Central and Pittsburgh Railway, all the way to the half-way turnaround point north of Montrose. Then, runners retrace their steps all the way back to the Fire Department building, where they’ll cross the finish line.
