Runners will start the race on the stadium track at Cherokee’s Acquoni Expo Center — just south of Great Smoky Mountains National Park — and from there head out on an out-and-back course that unfolds through neighborhoods, parks and hugs the Oconaluftee River for much of the race. The course is set to finish back where it started, on the track at the Acquoni Expo Center.
