From the starting line inside the Fairplex, which lies about 30 miles east of downtown Los Angeles, runners in the half marathon will follow an out-and-back loop course that takes them in roughly a counter-clockwise direction out from the fairgrounds and around the shoreline of Puddingstone Reservoir, through Frank G. Bonelli Regional Park and past the planes landing and taking off at nearby Brackett Field airport.
