Runners start the out-and-back loop course for the Crimson Canyons Half Marathon at Richfield Lion’s Park, and from there head south alongside Highway 89 for the first mile before heading onto the trails. After the first mile marker, the terrain turns to technical trails with plenty of climbing, including some rock obstacles. You’ll head into several canyon areas along trails with packed dirt and clay, as well as trails along ridgelines overlooking the canyons. There will be some big elevation changes throughout the race, and you’ll head back to the Richfield Lion’s Park for the finish line.
