Course Map: Dam to Dam Half Marathon

Runners start the Dam to Dam Half along the road looking over the Saylorville Dam, where you’ll be able to see the lights of Des Moines off in the distance. From there, the course unfolds south toward the city, with long stretches through the Des Moines River valley and later along the American Discovery Trail, a portion of the bike trail along the river. The final few miles include the race’s signature stretch along the Iowa Women of Achievement Dam, which spans the river near the heart of downtown, before bringing runners in to the finish line at 13th and Grand.
