Runners follow an out-and-back loop course for the Davis Stampede Half Marathon, which starts and finishes at Playfields Park, a few blocks east of the University of California, Davis campus. From there, the course follows a combination of city streets and winding park and walking and biking trails, past Mace Ranch Park and through the Mace Ranch neighborhoods via bike paths. The course later travels north on a stretch of the Wildhorse greenbelt and then around the perimeter of the Wildhorse golf course, before heading back toward Playfields Park (and repeating a small portion of the first couple of miles) for the race finish.
