Most of the race route is made up of flat terrain on paved surfaces around the lake, running through the small communities of Westerville and Elmer Hill around the lake, along stretches of Townline Road, County Road 53, Turin Road and County Road 60 before bringing runners back around to the state park for the race finish. Several stretches unfold through the residential neighborhoods along the lakeshore, giving runners plenty of views of many of the gorgeous homes along Delta Lake.
