Runners start the out-and-back course for the E-Race Cancer Half Marathon at Stone’s Marina just off North Road in Bridgeport. From there, the course heads east and north along the shores of Oneida Lake, the state’s largest inland lake, a route that organizers say is “extremely flat.” The timing of the race also ensures that you’re likely to see some impressive spring blooms in and around the lake, as much of the race follows tree-shaded roads.
