Runners start the out-and-back course for the East Texas Half Marathon in Nacogdoches’ Pecan Acres Park, located along Starr Avenue just north of the town’s center. From there, the race follows a reverse J-shaped route through downtown and past Hoya Park, and then through the campus of Stephen F. Austin State University. After that, runners head north all the way into the residential neighborhoods along Raguet Street, Northwood Circle and Deerfield Drive, and then head back south for the return route back to the park for the race finish.
