The EVL Halloween Half Marathon course follows an out-and-back route through this small village in western New York State, starting and finishing on Monroe Street and Hughey Alley. From there, the course takes runners north into the countryside just north of Ellicottville, along roads with long, gradual uphills (and some long, gradual downhills), tree-lined stretches and through the valley between the mountains just north of the Holiday Valley Ski Resort.
