From the starting line at Hastings Middle School, the Half Hastings Half Marathon takes runners on a winding tour of parks like Brickyard, Chatauqua, Libs and Heartwell Parks, stretches along the shore of Lake Hastings, several stretches through the city’s downtown and the Hastings College area. The race is flat and run on paved surfaces for nearly the entire route — mostly roads, but also paved trails through the city parks — and brings runners across the finish line inside Lloyd Winston Field at the Hastings College campus.
