Runners follow a hilly and challenging trail race through the woods near Edelman Park just outside Reading, Pa., at the annual “Half-Wit” Half Marathon, along which you can expect plenty of rocks, roots, downed trees and serious uphill and downhill stretches. The race starts near Reading Liederkrantz on Spook Lane just outside the city, and usually draws a field of several hundred entrants every year.
