Course Map: High Bridge Half Marathon

From the starting line at High Bridge State Park Plaza in Farmville, runners head northeast along the High Bridge Trail, the former railroad bed that’s been converted to a wide and mostly flat crushed limestone trail for runners, walkers, bikers and hikers. Along the out-and-back route, runners will cross the spectacular High Bridge, the 2,400-ft.-long footbridge that stands some 125 feet over the Appomattox River, which offer gorgeous views of the river and the trees below.
