Runners will follow an out-and-back course along the trails and park roads and through the woods of southern Pennsylvania’s Pine Grove Furnace State Park, which is home to two lakes, lots of hills and a portion of the Appalachian Trail. The half marathon will cover plenty of trails through the woods and cross several streams, and the trails may be covered with rocks, mud, tree roots and limbs, and/or anything else nature throws on their path.
