Runners start the 13.1-mile race on the Overseas Highway, along the bridge between Upper Matecombe Key annd Lower Matecombe Key. From there, they’ll head northeast for the first mile, turning around just short of crossing over into Upper Matacombe Key with views of the water all around. Then they’ll turn around and head all the way down Lower Matecombe, making the second turnaround point just south of the key, before heading back to the finish line at Robbie’s of Islamorada.
