Located along the banks of the Kinnickinnic River in western Wisconsin and just miles from the St. Croix River to the west, the lakes and rivers of River Falls are a popular spot for trout fishing. The half marathon course is filled with gently rolling hills for most of the race, and runners can expect the only significant hills in the middle portion of the course. Most of the race unfolds along paved city streets and county roads just to the city’s northwest, with the exception of a stretch of trail in Glen Park in the last few miles of the race.
