Runners are set to the start the out-and-back course for the half marathon on the grounds of the Basin Harbor Resort and Boat Club, which lies about 10 minutes from Vergennes. From there, they’ll follow the route first up to the harbor where they’ll run looking out onto the waters of Lake Champlain, and then make a big counter-clockwise loop along the roads in the rolling farmlands between the resort and Vergennes, before heading back to where they started for the race finish.
