Runners follow a challenging, high-elevation route along the trails that zig-zag through the Aspen stands and alpine meadows above the town of Crested Butte, Colo., at the Living Journeys Half Marathon, which starts and finishes at the base of Crested Butte Mountain Resort. From there, you’ll run up to the top of the Silver Queen chair lift, and then back down the mountain for another couple of miles before heading into forested areas, which later lead back down to the finish line at the resort.
