The Maine Coast Half Marathon course takes runners on an out-and-back route that starts at the Eastern Shore parking lot and finishes just across the harbor at Wells Harbor Community Park. From the start line, the race features long stretches along the shoreline and marshes for the first half of the race. The second half of the race takes runners inland through the marshes of the Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge.
