Considered a rugged and hilly course by many past runners, the out-and-back Malibu Half Marathon course starts at Zuma Beach. From there, the race unfolds along the Pacific Coast Highway all the way to the half-way turnaround near San Nicolas Canyon. After that, runners head in the opposite direction back to the finish line at Zuma Beach. The last few miles bring runners past beautiful beachfront homes, one after another, many of which are owned by Hollywood’s biggest names.
