Runners start the out-and-back course for the race at the Mancos Public Library on West 1st Street, and from there head out first on a loop around town. Then, they’ll head south on a clockwise loop through the countryside south of town, along surfaces that are about 60 percent gravel roads and 40 percent paved roads, including a roughly two-mile-long off-road stretch along trails through a mixture of private and BLM- (Bureau of Land Management) managed lands. Then you’ll head back into town for the race finish back on West 1st Street.
