Part of a series of running events known as the Semper Fi Grand Prix — scheduled throughout the year, both here on the Marine Corps base in Camp Lejeune and around the southeast — the Marine Corps Half Marathon takes runners on an out-and-back course that starts and finishes at the Goettge Memorial Field House on McHugh Boulevard, and then winds through the paved roads around the base, one organizers say is “scenic and flat,” and that is a great course for setting personal record times.
