For runners in the half marathon, the race starts at the mid-way point of the full 26.2-mile marathon, near the intersection of Highway 82/278 and Levee Road. From there — the starting line lies in Arkansas — the course heads over the river and into Mississippi via 278, taking runners northeast along the highway for a mostly flat run, with the exception of the newly opened 82 bridge. Runners will cross the finish line on Washington Avenue near the park along the riverfront.
