Runners start the Missoula Half Marathon at a different starting point from the full marathon, which starts miles to the west of the city on Mullan Road. The half marathon starts on Blue Mountain road and joins the full marathon course just past the mile 15 marker, and then follows the full marathon for the remainder of its route through Missoula to the race finish line across the river, at the intersection of Higgins Avenue and Front Street.
