Runners start the Mountain to Valley Half Marathon at an elevation of 7,810 feet above sea level in Spring Gulch, along North Thompson Creek Road. From there, they head north and downhill for nearly the entire point-to-point route through Colorado’s Roaring Fork Valley, which unfolds all the way to the finish line in Glenwood Springs. By the time you cross the finish at Glenwood Park, you’ll have dropped to an elevation of about 5,932 feet.
