Runners start the out-and-back course for the half marathon in the same spot as the 5K and 10K races, along Southeast Marine Science Drive, just south of the Hatfield Marine Science Center and the NOAA Marine Operations Center, where you’ll get to run along the 1,300-ft. pier. From there, the race unfolds past the Oregon Coast Aquarium, South Beach State Park and Yaquina Bay. The terrain for the race is about 7.87 miles of pavement with the remainder (about 5.28 miles) on trails.
