Runners start the course for the Oklahoma City Memorial Half Marathon just a few blocks from the finish line, on Harvey Street next to the Oklahoma City National Memorial that commemorates the lives lost in the April 1995 bombing of the Alfred Murrah federal building. From there, the course makes a counter-clockwise loop through the city, passing by and through several city parks, especially around the middle miles of the race.
