Runners start the out-and-back course for the Operation Jack Half Marathon at Dockwieler State Beach just west of Los Angeles International Airport, just off Vista Del Mar. From there, you’ll first head north along the bike paths through the park all the way to Ballona Creek, where you’ll turn right and follow the trail across the creek to just past the mile 4 marker, where you’ll hit the first turnaround. After that, you’ll run south all the way to Manhattan Beach for the second turnaround, and the head back to the start for the race finish.
