The starting line for runners in the half marathon lies at the half-way of the full, 26.2-mile marathon on Old Highway 91, east of Pocatello and the nearby community of Inkom. From there, runners can expect to encounter hills between miles 3 and 5 and miles 7 and 9. After the tenth mile, the route begins a slowly sloping downhill toward the finish line in Pocatello at Lower Ross Park. The race finishes just a stone’s throw south of the campus of Idaho State University.
