Runners follow a point-to-point route for the half marathon, which starts along Montebello Avenue in front of Solano Park, and then heads west before turning right on 19th Avenue. The race then heads north for nearly the next 2 1/2 miles before turning right onto Northern Avenue, and then again on Central Avenue. That begins a long, gently downhill straightaway for most of the rest of the race, until runners reach the finish line at the Phoenix Art Museum.
