Runners start the half marathon at the Providence Rhode Races on Exchange Terrace next to Burnside Park, and from there run through a mix of downtown city streets and stretches along the waterfront, as both the first couple and last couple of miles take runners along the Providence Harbor. Runners will make their way north from Providence almost all the way to Pawtucket, where they make the turn and then head back south to the race finish line where they started.
