From the starting line area along Marietta Street, next to downtown Atlanta’s Centennial Park, the Publix Atlanta Half Marathon shares the same course as the full marathon for the first seven miles, and takes runners and walkers through several of Atlanta’s historic intown neighborhoods — like the Sweet Auburn district, Inman Park and Virginia-Highlands — as well as through its largest urban park, Piedmont Park, before running past the Georgia Tech campus on the way back to the finish line in Centennial Park.
