Ready for a course that some participants have described as “relentless”? That’s what awaits at this race in northeastern Nevada, which is actually just shy of the regulation half marathon distance (it’s 12.64 miles), but makes up for any shortcomings with a more than 2,700-ft. climb from the starting line in Wells to the finish line at Angel Lake. If you don’t want to run the course, organizers also offer divisions for walkers, mountain bikers and road bikers.
