Get ready for a big hill climb at the Race to the Summit Half, which climbs more than 900 feet between the starting line and the finish atop Mount Wachusett, which overlooks the ski resort by the same name near Princeton, Mass. Runners start the race just off Bolton Road, near the entrance to the ski area, and from there make a big, 8-mile-long loop around Worcester Road, Narrows Road, Notown Road and Rocky Pond Road before heading into the Wachusett Mountain State Reservation, where you’ll finish with the climb up to the summit of the mountain.
