Runners will start the out-and-back course for the half marathon at Raleigh’s Gateway Plaza, a mixed-use retail and office space located just a few miles east of downtown. From the starting line on Crabtree Boulevard, the race follows the road for the first half-mile or so and then jumps onto the Crabtree Creek Greenway, a nearly 16-mile-long trail that winds through parks, past creeks and residential areas. You’ll follow the trail all the way to the turnaround at Anderson Point Park, and then head back along the route you’ve just run, all the way to the finish line just before you reach Raleigh Boulevard.
