Runners follow an out-and-back course at Sierra Vista’s Rising Sun Run, which unfolds along a scenic canyon road that leads up to the base of the Ramsey Canyon Preserve, starting at an elevation of about 4,500 feet and rising to 5,200 feet by the time you reach the half-way point. Once there, you’ll make the turn around East Calle Coro, Arrowhead Lane and East Calle Mano before heading back onto Ramsey Canyon Road to begin the second half of the race back to where you began, at Huachuca Mountain Elementary School.
