Runners follow an out-and-back course along the Hudson River at the Rock the River: Palisades Half Marathon, which starts and finishes in New Jersey’s Palisades Interstate Park across the river from nearby New York City. The course features a number of the park’s scenic cliffs and rolling hills along one of the country’s oldest scenic drives, and starts and finishes at the Ross Dock overlooking the river.
