Runners follow a double-loop out-and-back route through Fort Steilacoom Park at the half marathon, which is open to both runners and walkers. The course never leaves the park during the race, which starts and finishes at the Fort Steilacoom playground and circles Waughop Lake twice during the run. Runners and walkers will also pass by the dog park and the campus of Pierce College twice before making their way back toward the playground for the race finish.
