Runners make their way along a downhill point-to-point course at Wyoming’s Run with the Horses Half Marathon, which starts on White Mountain Road to the northeast of town and finishes in Green River at Island Park, overlooking the river flowing by. In between the start and finish lines, runners will lose roughly 900 feet of elevation over the course of the half marathon, as they descend from a starting elevation of about 7,000 feet above sea level to about 6,100 feet at the race finish.
Note: The course map above provides the approximate route for the race. Though every effort has been made to ensure its accuracy, changes are sometimes made to race routes due to weather conditions, road closures or other circumstances that can require a course to be changed.
