From the starting line at Sandhill Crane Vineyards, which lies just outside Ann Arbor, runners in the half marathon will follow what is roughly a clockwise loop route through the Waterloo Recreation Area, along mostly dirt back roads punctuated by plentiful rolling hills. The total elevation gain over the course is about 290 feet, so the hills won’t be overly challenging — and you’ll finish back where you started at Sandhill Crane.
