Runners will start the out-and-back course for the Running of the Elk Half Marathon on Long Leaf Drive, which lies just south of Laguna Boulevard, near Sacramento. From there, runners and walkers will head out on a route that takes them through the streets of the city, south toward Elk Grove County park toward Kammerer Road and back, and along portions of the Elk Grove Trail before heading back to Long Leaf Drive for the race finish.
