Course Map: Shades of Death Half Marathon

Runners follow a double-loop out-and-back course at Allamuchy’s Shades of Death Half Marathon, with a quick out-and-back stretch on the first loop when they make the turn onto Shades of Death Road, between the mile 3 and 4 markers. Portions of the race are shaded with trees along the rolling country roads, while others are out in the sun, alongside wide-open farm fields. The biggest hills occur in the early going of each loop section, as runners hit the steepest hill as they near Interstate 80. (MORE: Shades of Death Half Marathon event details)
